Forum Guidelines
« on: December 26, 2012, 07:54:01 pm »
To ensure the safety of our community, all members are required to abide by these guidelines. They're short and simple, so please take the time to read and understand them.

DO:

Respect other members. This includes respecting everyone's race, religion, gender, and sexual orientation. Treat people fairly and kindly. It's the old saying, do unto others as you would have done unto yourself.

Report posts. Our goal is to keep the site safe and friendly. If there's any post that you see that violates the rules, please report it. It only takes a second.

Follow board-specific guidelines. Some boards have very short specific guidelines. You have the time to read these, so please do so before posting.

DON'T:

Use adf.ly or similiar links. this includes adcraft, ad.fly, or other services that allow monetary gain from clicking links. If you use such a link, it will be redirected to the page after the advertisement without any further notice. This includes services such as ShareCash as well.

Feed the trolls. This is exactly what the trolls are looking for. Report it to an admin or mod instead, that way we can take action.

Use profanities. Profanities will be censored. This also includes strong language and/or bashing people with swear words.

Post illegal themes. This includes piracy and drug themes. Use discretion while discussing these things. Discretion meaning, don't post publicly that you've pirated thousands of dollars worth of games, etc. You will be banned if you post such things. Also, we aren't snitches, but other members here might be. So be careful.

Post pornography. This will have immediate and most likely permanent banning consequences.

Advertise anything (EXCEPT for your own website). If you advertise something other than your own website in the "Other Sites" board (for example, consumer products, etc) will you face an immediate and most likely permanent ban. We do this because we take spam-bots very seriously here, and if you advertise something other than your own website, there's no way to tell if you're a spam-bot.

MISCELLANEOUS:

Moderators and Admins. Do what they say, or you might face the banhammer. Be nice to them, they're doing their work on a voluntary basis for free.

Thanks for reading these!
